The ridiculously hot weather we’ve been experiencing in Brisbane lately has meant my summer wardrobe is out of the closet far earlier than usual. There are many things I doth protest about the warmer seasons, namely the searing heat and humidity, sunburn and sweat, but it also brings something far more forgiving: the music festival. This year I’ve got my eye on the Meredith Music Festival. It has the best boutique line-up of bands, like Crocodiles (!), Akron/Family (!!), Animal Collective (!!!) and Jarvis Cocker (!!!!!), but it is also is the hardest festival to buy a ticket for. With it’s NO DICKHEAD policy it means that punters are there to enjoy the music, rather than the music being a sideline to something else. To view the lineup click here. If you like it, and I know you will, you have to enter the ballot otherwise you’ll have less than buckley’s of a chance. Good luck!
