I often find myself flicking through some of my old coveted fashion magazines (read: bibles), sometimes for inspiration, sometimes for an historical perspective, to see how fashion has evolved over the last decade, and sometimes to just reminisce. I came across a fairly recent article on ex-pat, London-based Australian illustrator Donna Huddleston, who is currently on show at the Galerie Juliette Jongma. You can join the dots of her career, which has crossed the realms of theatre design, costume design and now fine art illustration, at the site and enjoy her latest paintings; an offering of female figures that border between doll-like geishas and sci-fi space queens.
