Rittenhouse have gone a bit dotty this summer. Ladies and gents, your favourite wardrobe staples of sharp, modern casuals, are going to be covered with spots of sizes and stripes pointing every which way. Soft, cotton tees, strappy sundresses, lightweight knitwear and drawstring skirts are given a playful spot of something or splash of stripe. And following on from the successful and celebrated Husmann/Tschaeni collaboration of last year, Rittenhouse have again worked in a designing duet for this collection. Teaming up with Japanese artist Ikko Taniuchi, otherwise known as the ‘dancing painter’, to produce a series of printed and hand embroidered tops and sweatshirts, summer is bursting with colour. It’s the perfect combination of bold style (Taniuchi) and simplicity (Rittenhouse), and a new dynamic for the the Rittenhouse label.
