We just want to quickly touch on another summer collection before the blog becomes about next seasons fashion.
We love looking to London each season for something new. The city’s rawness, energy and dynamism is unique and the designers are more adventurous and provocative with their ideas. Another young designer to push the boundaries, with a collection that is a mix of tradition and rebellion is Glaswegian born, London-based Graeme Armour.
His silhouette for summer essentially remains unchanged. It’s quite clean and classic; what begins as a basic body-con silhouette is re-interpreted in a new way, with each new look. Like a mathematical equation, fabric is added, subtracted and multiplied to expose and exaggerate the body. Volume and layers, metallic and leather: its dynamic, futuristic, fetishistic. It kind of touches on the 80s revival but with a new millenium perspective.
