Using a minimalist black and white palette, a life-size canvas, and simple black marker, Charlotte Mann creates story-book style suburban images of contemporary life. The level of detail in each artwork is amazing yet easily hides the normalcy and reality of the subject.
Mann is a true artist in the sense that her ideas translate through so many different mediums: fashion, styling, illustration. She’s collaborated before, extensively, with Russell Sage but it is her recent collaboration with fashion designer and friend Peter Jensen (for his Resort 2010 collection) that will encourage a lot more blog talk.
