So, yes, it's the start of a new year and we're raging towards a new fashion season. Paris mens first up in a few weeks. Followed by Copenhagen, Stockholm, New York, da-da,da-da, da-da. You know the routine.
Prior to MoonSpoon Saloon's summer show, we had heard very little about the label. So it was quite a surprise to find their vision as one that is so far removed from what is considered typical of Danish fashion.
Pre-show at Wood Wood was a fashion farce. It was literally a street style bloggers dream. Phil Oh, Hanneli. It was the who's-who of who-snaps-who. And in some ways the circus outside threatened to rival the show inside.
V is for Veronica B Vallenes, a Norwegian designer based in Copenhagen who's style is caught somewhere between rebellion and femininity. A case of opposites attract. It's also for Vilsbøl De Arce, a design duo who tend to focus on proportion and construction.
A change of pace for Stine Goya's show. Presenting the summer collection as more like a salon experience it gave the clothes a feeling of artistry rather than simply design. And it created a feeling of togetherness, at least with the audience.
