Cecilia Carlstedt's illustrious academic and work history draws for itself. Her work has been commissioned by some of biggest names in the fashion industry, including Swarovski and La Perla. Her lines speak for themselves...
Years of experience in character animation have given illustrator Anton Emdin a comical relief in his work. His artwork clearly indicates a visible effort and sharp eye for detail and his cv lists an impressive list of job descriptions, from animation to web & print design and pc interactives.
Unique fabrics and soft lines are a key feature to Mesop's new Autumn/Winter collection. Style and silhouette are the strongest elements to the collection, which is highlighted by a warm and neutral colour palette that creates both basic must-have striking stand alone pieces.

Following on from his final studies at Central St. Martin's and Scotland's "New Talent Of The Year" award, Jamie Bruski Tetsill looks set to become fashion's new face to watch. His A/W 08/09 collection combines material and structure to create beautifully tailored shapes in vibrant colours. Naturally tartan featured predominantly in the collection.

Kate Moss launches another collection for TopShop. This time her inspiration stems from years of travelling to exotic destinations. Indigenous prints are mixed with fluid fabrics in silhouettes that reference ideas from the art deco era to the 50s.

Furniture and product designer, Anon Pairot has created a body of work that reflects an innovative use of both material, function and space. Combining local techniques, Pairot's strong design direction uses light, durable and recyclable materials.
Morrocan-based design team Khmissa recently released a range of ethically manufactured living pieces, as rubber buckets are resalvaged and old tyres transformed into poufs.

Droog design, known for its simplicity in minimalism and careful choice of materials, has created a piece of furniture that espouses the philosophy that with every book we read our environment should change in response: the Push and Store cabinet. For these designers usability is a must.
Folk art is making a resurgence with the re-release of Alexander Girard's Wooden Doll collection. Starting his creative career in architecture, Girard's concept of design incorporated drapery, furniture, even the placement of objects in a room. The re-release follows on from the celebration of 25 years of the Girard Wing.
Legendary shoe designer Manolo Blahnik has co-ordinated a range of 'well-heeled' shoes in collaboration with textile designer Marimekko. Blahnik's Spring/Summer 2008 collection will include shoes in the Mini-Unikko Marimekko pattern which was designed by Maija Isola in 1964 in protest to Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia’s announcement that floral patterns were to no longer be used in Marimekko designs.

Fashion e-tailer YOOX Group is launching a high-end online retail store this month, featuring directional and established designers such as Hussein Chalayan and Martin Margiela.
Zac Posen has launched his new designer range for Target featuring colourful prints balanced with more architectural and structured pieces. This is the first high street collaboration for Posen and will be available for in selected Australian stores from April 3.

Recent Design Award winner Ben Pollitt of Friedrich Gray has continued with a dark aesthetic for his A/W 08 collection, 'So We Dug A Tunnel'. The labels understated philosophy belies a strong fashion vision and an intellectual approach to the streetwear market.
