Viktor & Rolf - FW08 RTW Paris. The Dutch design duo have put on the brakes with a screech! "We love fashion, but it is going too fast" - and their Paris collection certainly got that message across. A trench emblazoned with a bold three dimensional "NO" was first out followed by the messages "WOW" and "DREAM ON" painted and embroidered into the designs. Gold staples were used along seams, in pleats and all over the hemlines - making the statement, emphatically, that fashion needs to slow down and remember that it is an art and not a mass production line - a point made all the more ironic knowing that the high street stores will be knocking out cheap copies by tomorrow morning.

Gridiron body armour and knitwear are now a combo worth considering thanks to Louise Goldin. Her debut fashion week showing today in London is attracting all the right kind of attention from the fashion cognoscenti. Well deserved too.
