For The Boys

For The Boys

Occasionally we neglect our male readers with a lack of substantial mens fashion posts. It's not that we don't care or forget, but sometimes with mens fashion it takes a little longer to find something to pique our interest. So in the interest of our readers we have found something for the boys, and for the ladies

Green Is A Girl’s Best Friend

Green Is A Girl’s Best Friend

We're currently interviewing the girls from above for our next issue of Canvas. Stylist Jade Leung's name was mentioned during the conversation and while privately pleading ignorance, we set about doing a little bit of research and it was via Jade's client work we discovered jewellery designer Emma Grace.

Let Me Get My Hands On Some LF

Let Me Get My Hands On Some LF

The transition to a new city and new environment here in Copenhagen has been fairly easy. Despite warnings from friends and family of a hankering for my former life, I've settled in quite well. Was quick to find a the best coffee shop in town and a delicious bakery and even quicker to fin somewhere fun and cosy and local to have a beer. Clearly all important things to find when you move to a new city. I have to admit though the one thing I've started to feel a little homesick for are my favourite Australian fashion labels.

The Lovely Lamija

The Lovely Lamija

We're taking our readers on a cross-country fashion trip this week. There are a lot of designers whose respective winter collections still haven't sought our praise on this blog and we must make mention before the frenzy that becomes Australian Fashion Week. Just over a month away, but you know that proverbial about flying. First destination: Stockholm and a fresh name, and aesthetic, for you to remember. Lamija Suljevic.

Say Hello To Susanne

Say Hello To Susanne

Another discovery from the city of Copenhagen, one relatively new to the Danish fashion scene. Having spent a morning on Silkegade, one of the many side streets slightly off the city's central shopping strip that are home to the more edgy and innovative fashions, Susanne Guldager's summer collection, Esoteric Dreams, was spotted on the racks of Nag, a niche boutique specialising in exclusive and upcoming designers.

There seems to be a reluctance amongst Australians to wear hats as a fashion accessory. Perhaps because hats tend to be worn for a function, for sport, for sun protection, rather than as fashion. A hat really is the pièce de résistance of an outfit. It can turn an otherwise bland look into an announcement. So perhaps that's where the hesitation lies - in making a statement. Are we afraid to take on a fashion challenge?
