Alex Trochut Record Time

Alex Trochut Record Time

Have you seen the RECORD TIME™ collection curated by Refill Magazine? It’s a series of very limited edition lasered vinyl record clocks (click here to buy). As we were looking through the designs of some of our favourite artists we were reminded of some updated works on Alex Trochut’s site.

Change Of Seasons

I love this time of year. From August to September and through until October, when you to start to see a change of seasons. Sartorially speaking, this is. Shades of grey emerge with blacks and navy, hemlines lengthen, layers are added, and arms are lost in the sleeves of thick, woollen coats. Copenhagen Fashion Week starts today and and you know how we love our Danish fashion! So in weeks to come look forward to our reviews of our favourite designers, not just from Copenhagen but in the fashion cities that follow.

Beige & Blue

Beige & Blue

Anna MacKenzie, a young photographer from Melbourne, got in contact with us last month. She’s currently in her final year of commercial photography at RMIT and submitted this editorial. We absolutely love her work. I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what appeals but I recognise something very honest in her ideas. She is certainly someone we’ll keep our eye on. I’d like to point out Anna’s co-collaborator in this story is Estelle Deve, someone we’ve mentioned previously on our Canvas blog.

Mr. Anderson

Mr. Anderson

You may recall the name J.W. Anderson as we posted a blog after discovering his winter accessories in Blonde Venus. As mentioned in the previous post we are on the verge of another fashion season and Mr. Anderson has returned for summer 2010 with a collection that is once again drenched in the past, this time inspired by J.M.W. Turner, an eccentric painter who was known for his landscape portraits.

Rabbit On The Run

Rabbit On The Run

Occasionally I succumb to the odd trend-driven fashion magazines. I'm not the kind of person to follow what's 'in' in fashion but I do deem it important to know what's happening in other major cities. Whatever. Anyway, flipping through Elle, and came across this great French based abstract art label Rabbit On The Run. I'm not too proud to plead ignorance and say I've heard little about this label.
